Keep Calm and Love Nature ;)
Quicksilver Park in San Jose. One of the many hidden gems you can find in this giant city.. This was supposed to be a quick shoot for Earth Day, but it became so much more once we got started.. It was hard for me to believe that I hadn’t been here before. It was so green and way bigger than I expected. A friend of the photographers, who is a San Jose native, pointed us towards this park when we were trying to figure out where to shoot. It sounded like a great idea! We figured we might be able to have some fun around the hiking trials and get some really good shots in the meantime.

I’ve been really stressed lately about work and stuff. Nowadays, my life mainly consists of going to work, the gym, and home to sleep. Same cycle every day.. No time to get outdoors and go for a hike these days. It made me feel really good to get out for a day and take some pictures in nature. Like I’ve always said, nature is cheaper than therapy. lol! We were there about almost 3 hours and I feel like I was 5 years old again - running around the fields, blowing dandelions and making wishes. The best part is being able to say hi to puppies and pet them. You know I love animals! Helps me forget about work and all of life’s worries for a bit.
Some see a weed, I see a wish..
It was really nice out while we waited for the sunset scene. I’m wearing all neutral - whites and cream. I have this oversized knitted sweater, one of my favourite thing to wear in the whole wide world and I paired it with a lace white panty to emphasize the texture of the sweater.
I was wearing this gold and white gold necklace, which I got from a charity event in New Orleans. They had a few jewelry pieces from at the event by designer Kiki Huston. She’s a local jewelry designer in New Orleans. I absolutely adore the work she does and am happy to support a good cause to help the Hurricane victims. The heart and the french house represents, specifically, how she creates art in an effort to reach out to the people of New Orleans who were impacted by the hurricane - to bring awareness and publicity to the situation. I really love and try to collect pieces with meaning behind them.. And Like I said, it always makes me feel good to support a good cause.
Later on in the day, I changed into a white ribbed dress from Alexander Wang. I completely love this one. The way it fits my form and the cut in general is amazingly done. I’m just trying to show of my TRX arms, hahaha! Like Drake says “You showin’ off, but it’s alright“.
Even through the sunset, I made sure to keep applying sunscreen. Chanel SPF 50 is my go to. For makeup, I did it on my own this time! (I know hahaha!) I tried to keep it very light to maintain a more natural look.
It was a great day overall. We were so lucky to catch a perfect golden sunset in the hills of San Jose. It really made me realize how easy it is to get caught up with work, suck at my desk in the fluorescent lighting, staring at my computer - instead of enjoying the great outdoors!
